Blowing away King Coal link

After witnessing 470 mountains in central Appalachia get blown to bits by strip mining, the Coal River wind proponents are drawing a line in the sand. Mountaintop removal has destroyed a million and a half acres of hardwood forests, ripped out the roots of the Appalachian culture and depopulated the historic mountain communities in the process. Now a tenacious group of coal mining families and environmentalists are proposing an alternative Coal River Wind Project.
